Dwarven Steel: Where to get?

Can anyone tell me if the smithy in tarant sometimes sells dwarven steel? Or can i only get it at the wheel clan? I need it for a component to elite plate, which i need as a component to Automaton. Thx

 

I think the smithy in Tarant will very rarely sell it. The Wheel Clan is the easiest place to get it.

The smithy in Caladon carries it as well, I believe.

 

I dont think the smithy in Tarant ever sells it..... I think you just got to go to the Wheel clan. It is possible to find it in the BMC mines to.

 

Each time I've gone through the game, I've found at least two in the BMC mines.

 

There are a couple of those in a warehouse in Tarant. That one where some halfling asks you to remove all the rats.

 

Are you sure? I know there's a few lumps of dwarven ore in there, but I don't remember seeing the steel. Is it a random item?

Dwarven Steel can be found in the BMC mines, as someone said. It can be purchased in the Wheel Clan or Calladon. It is a low % random item in dwarven chests in the Wheel Clan mine or the Dredge.

And did you know that late in the game you can just take over 6 - 20 Automations?

 

6-20??? as in you just find them and keep them???

 

1) Friendly tip, gravedigging old threads will make some of the Old Regulars foam at the mouth.

2) Yes, you can capture the Automatons in the Vendigroth Ruins. It involves clicking on them whilst prowling, though perhaps Invisibility will work as well.
