Offend is too strong of a word. Confused, maybe. Irritated, pretty likely. Offended... I don't think I've seen a thread in my time here that offended 'us' if you're using 'you' to refer to the general population of HoL. Individuals may get offended, but usually everyone else thinks it's hysterical, so you can't say we're offended, just that that one user is.

That said, I think most people just think you're an idiot for posting a link you know nothing about, let alone in a language you don't understand. That makes you look stupid, which is what provoked the response prevalent in this thread. Nothing personal though, if you look at it without bias I'm sure you can see how this makes you look silly.

 

Well not necessarily silly. I'd say that it just makes him look as though he doesn't care about the welfare of the forum, but the secret lies with the motive. Did a friend ask him to click the link to help them out?

I'm sure if you explained how clicking the link would be helping you out, saatan45, then it would clear up the situation.

This isn't fucking Oprah dude, it sounds like he just posted some random drivel for some inexplicable reason (yes, I guess his motive would factor in), but at the same time, while I can't speak for everyone, I also know that I don't care, and am perfectly content to write this off as his posting carelessly and get on with my life. He's no more diminished in my judgment than he was to begin with for being a newb.
