Why is it that my followers often choose different equipment for themselves than I think they should use. Like, if Sogg is using a balanced sword, and I ask him to hold an axe, he would equip the axe. A lot of the time, they choose equipment that they can't even make the MSR for. It seems like a silly design flaw, unless using those weapons is actually better for them for reasons I can't see. It's a real pain in the bum. There is far too much unnecessary juggling of equipment in this game as it is, without making it even trickier. Is there any way I can get them to stop choosing their own equipment?
yep Make the only weapon that they have the one you want them to hold that way they will be stuck with it. :minigun:
Yeah, that's pretty much wear I'm at. Unfortunately, I often find myself wanting my followers to mule stuff for me until I can reach somewhere to sell it. If the thing I want them to carry is a piece of equipment they can use, they often equip it. I think they're doing it just to irritate me. I mean they don't get anything out of using worse equipment, so why else would they do it. Plus, Sogg always has a cheeky little smile when equips the rusty hammer, making me think he's getting a kick out of the whole thing
well do as I do just give them things that you are going to sell but dont want to carry like herbs, food, metal, etc. I dont give my people weapons becuse I sell the ones I dont need. P.S. Always keep and extra weapon for each of your folowers and yourself you should hold them though. :minigun: uke:
A note that even though the followers think that weapon is great, it might be cursed. One time, I thought they wouldn't want to get the cursed leather armour but SOgg eventually put it on and his hit points starts to slow down. Virgil keeps on healing him but when he runs out of fatigues, Sogg eventually died and needed resurrection.
Vollinger I gave Vollinger a hunting rifle and a revolver chamber for him to make the repeater rifle - he can make it, I can't - and he ended up equiping it! Once it was equiped, I couldn't get him to make the repeater - the items have to be in the backback, not equiped in order to make it. I ended up buying two - one for him to equip and one for him to turn into the repeater rifle.
How did you get Cursed Leather Armor to fit on Sogg Mead Mug? The armor is too small for him, and I know because he's a huge Half-Ogre and I always make him carry it with him at all times... ???
darrenh2, I had this problem too, but managed to figure that if I took Vollinger's bullets away, he'd unequip the rifle. Then, I got him to make the repeater rifle and gave him back his bullets. It was like, "If you do don't do as you're told, you can't can't have any bullets!"
