Perhaps the time has come to buy a gaming computer to replace my dearly departed Alienware laptop.

Since my power supply decided to explode I've been sitting on a 32 mb graphics card... I might not be able to run D3 with that.

    That looks sweet.

Fortunately, I never was a huge Diablo fan. Otherwise I'd be saying the same thing as Peter Quincy.

The last diablo-esque game I played was Titan Quest, and it gobbled up all my free time for a couple months.

there is 2 things I wanted to do before I die:
    play Diablo III
    and
    play Arcanum III
looks like I might get to do at least 1 of those.

I could just change a module in the download section and name it 'Arcanum III'.

    Then you could do both.

Personally, I am looking forward to Arcanum IV way more... I think it's the one where the Living One fights a nuclear missile to death with his bare hands. I heard it has a surprise ending...

Why can I never scrounge up the energy to start on my Tribute mod? I've already been through AMTUT a few times, but inspiration fails me.

Well, believe me, you're definitely going to need a LOT of inspiration to see an Arcanum mod through. I'm usually inspired to work really hard on one part or another, like rumors or buildings or a particular character's dialog.

What's Tribute? Some kind of Diablo 3 thing I'm going to get flamed for not knowing about?

I was thinking about making a thread about this, but decided not to. But anyway, I'm so psyced for this. This has been one of the games on my "Games I must see come out before I die" list ever since I beat Diablo II 8 years ago. All this Diablo excitement made me (yes, I'm embarrassed to say it) get back into Diablo II. If anyone is up for it, we could all play together.

    Look what I've found:

If that's true, and if the screenshots I've seen are for real and no bullshit, then my average impression of this game is something in the neighborhood of NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yeah, I started playing D2 again myself, but I don't have a legit cd key anymore, so I can't play online.

World of Warcraft exterior experience feels like being kicked in the nuts repeatedly by a steam powered hammer.

Don't worry, they have Leonard Boyarksy as lead world designer, so it will be good!

My inner grumpy old man just awoke, and he thinks that the art direction is to LotResque and that World of Warcraft should stay out of the world of Diablo, which is supposed to be dark and sinister and not bumbling and cartoony!

If I see just one little Disney-curl, I'll go bananas and seek out the betrayer who created it.
