Dante isn´t free for me

I hear that lots of you says that Dante is a "free" member but when i first meet him and asked him to join he sad that my party was full.
anyone know why?

 

Naughty boy hasn't been reading his manual. the max number of followers you can have is equal to your CHA divided by four, i.e. if you have 12 CHA then you can have only 3 followers.

If you train yourself in Persuasion you can increase the max number of followers you can have though - Expert status grants you a +2, and at Master level anyone will join you regardless of alignment or tech/magick issues.

Also, Dante doesn't join you if you're too low-level.

 

i removed one of my other characters and then he joined me. but the problem is that some people says that he dosen´t fill a slot(like the dog)

i believe you must ask him to wait and rejoin in order for him to be free. i have never gotten dante so i dont know from firsthand experience.

Actually it only gives +1

The website says +2, but i became a persuasion expert yesterday and it only gave +1.

 

If you have Dante wait & rejoin, he no longer fills a slot. Firsthand experience.

The people who built that site with the +2 quote may have gotten the info from a pre release edition, or they may have been confused by going to CH 12 & getting trained at the same time. BTW, they are often wrong in details, but dead right about most everything.
