I see people talking about how much damage their characters do. That they see it on screen. I dont see squat, is it something wrong on my verision cuz I can´t change anything in the options. _________________ Jump on my sword evil! In battle, if you score a critical hit, for instance, words will flash over your character's head. Not numbers. You can find out how much damage you can dish out by checking your equipped inventory.
Just highlight the little box under your weapon slot - it's got 2 crossed swords on a background of blue doesn't it? - and you should see some stats relevant to damage - physical, fatigue, poison, fire, electrical etc.
Yeah I know anout that shit, but I wanna know more exactly. What I meant was that they actually see numbers. Like in Planescape - Torment, if you´ve played that one.
I do! When my PC hit a monster/innocent/object, white text floats above the victim, saying something like "4HT 2FT" (minus 4 Health Points, minus 2 Fatigue). When my followers got hit, the text is in yellow. When my PC got hit, the text is in red. Yes. EVERY HIT. Not just critical hits. My Arcanum is v1074. But that's not important really - as I see those combat info in all versions. Perhaps I should check my game settings when I get home tonight. Who told you they don't see numbers? I see broken, rusty blades.
Hit me baby, one more time! Set "floats" in your config to "verbose" I think. That gives you floats at every dmg and fatigue lost or gained. Perhaps your floats is set to "never"? You can also adjust the time the floats are active... Hope that helps. - Zen
Actually, the only games I've seen which tell you exactly how much everyone on the screen is hit for are Fallout and Fallout 2. They show everything - were you thinking of something like that Reko Kid? I must admit, I was hoping for a little dialog box like that in Arcanum.
