character animations , mod

hi guy im new here i bought arcanum bac in 2003 and was really bugged by the way a character would run and his weapon would disapear then reapear when stopped , so i shelved it , now years on iam playing old rpgs as i dont enjoy the newer ones , was there a mod that fixed this or r we stuck with this

No, it's impossible to make any significant changes to pre-rendered 2D sprites. You can read more about pre-rendering here.
