Castle of S'nel N'fa

I've stormed the castle, taken out the greater mummies and gore ghouls that were resident here. I've also annihilated the lich K'an T'au without much of a prob, however....

For some reason I cannot seem to open the chest in his throne room. It is 'magically jammed'. I'm assuming that there must be something I must break/access to open it, but I can't seem to work out what it is...unless this is a bug?

Help?

 

Try destroying the chest to get it open.

 

You have to destroy the chest. Killing K'uan T'au is supposed to release the lock since he has mage-locked it, but it doesn't work properly.

 

i noticed there is a locked passage in the same room where does that lead. I destroyed it. :cry:

 

I'd never tried destroying chests before, since I was worried that it might also destroy the artifacts inside. I assumed there had to be another way to open it. Lol, it's always the easiest option that you overlook.
