Cannot get past the pass

I have the location of the elven city on my map. It also shows a pass. My guess is I have to go throgh the pass to get to the city. I cannot seem to get throgh the pass for some reason....what gives?

If you already have the pass marked in your world map, here's what you've got to do:

Click the dot of the pass in your map. After you are in that pass, travel along it and you will meet several creatures you need to fight. Cross the pass until you can again see your map turns globe blue. Click the map again and then click Qin'tarra, the elven city.

 

Thanks...it took a little of finding out where the stupid thing was in the first place....
