can a sequel/part 2 to Arcanum be made with the mdo tools?

Just wondering if the mod tools are flexible enough and have the resources to allow making an actual part 2 to the meain game?

 

Yes, but not the time. There are lots of posts on this - look around. There have been many people saying they would do this, but I don;t think anyone ever provided even the earliest development version of a sequel mod. Best to stick to something a bit smaller.

 

could just try adding to the game to lengthen the game, im not sure if you can do this or not though. more or less just a idea.

Adding to the game: Yeah. ChrisBeddoes (Car-Arcanum), me (A:WIP/Forgotten Places), and the guys at the Russian site (Arcanum 1.5) have done or are doing it.

Starting from scratch and creating a new game: Just like team a said.

BTW: Around here, any thread that's not been replied to in a month or two is considered dead unless you have something really valuable to add.

 

oh thanks for the tip, as for the new modules where can i find em (being that they are finished)

 

The English main-game expansions can be found in the downloads section under Arcanum/Main Module Expansions.
You'll need to go to arcanumclub.ru for the Arcanum1.5, and it's in Russian.

Also - Only Car-Arcanum is finished.

Arcanum 1.5 is another work in progress.

There's been a couple, three new small modules released in the past couple years, including Doomsday and the Tomb of Tol Guldar. Be sure to check Arcanum Modules for any that you don't yet have.
