Black Root question (***SPOILER***)

After I talked to the naked halfing he told me to go west past the theif camp to some cave. I go west and west and west and I cannot find neither the theif camp nor the cave. Does any one know where I'm supposed to go and whether I should use the world map or city map to get to those places?

 

hmmm, Are you talking about the halfling that wants to play a "game". He asks you questions then sends you to another halfling etc?

Anyway, There's a thieves camp on the north side of blackroot, beyond the train station. Not a marked world map location.

On the other hand there is a Thieves cave in the mountains which is a marked world map location, but you need to be on the west side of the mountains(Stonewall Range) to get to it.

 

Yes, that's the halfing I was talking about. He sends me to some cave (he says to go west) that is supposedly located past some theif camp. I cannot find neither the cave nor the theif camp. Do I have to travel using the world map just west of Black Root hoping to stamp across something?

 

Actually, the halfling mentions going to the "Stony Ground", or something to that effect, not a cave. If you go to the train station and go north across the water you should find the thieves camp. There is a trail from there heading west where you'll find the second halfling. The trail then continues north to the third one.

I was hoping that the prize of the ancient game was the solution to the ancient maze sword puzzle. But no, that stupid sword is still stck behind the wall.
