I just would like to know if anyone knows the best dialog options during the Tarant/Caladon negotiations to get the good ending cinimatic in the end. I dont want there to be a war or anything lame like that.

If you succeed at the quest, there won't be a war as far as I can tell. I haven't even read the brief since the first time. I just use common sense, and it always comes out right, even if I don't get maximum money from Willoughsby.

I wanted to get the ambassador rep but could not. that with a 19cha and 5 persuation. I mapped and lettered all dialogue options and did the thing like ten times still could not find the right combo. I think you need to 20 cha to get the ideal negotiation.

I am able to get the ambasador thing by picking the top response for everything and ignoring the lobbyists in the hall way, but I have 20 intellegence, 20 charisma, and 5 persuasion/expert. I really dont want to do that though cause i dont want to ban magic and not have labor unions, but when I give full authority to labor unions (im a socialist) and let magic folks do what ever they want then I dont get the ambasador thing. But I guess if i get the 7000 gold from the guy that gives the quest and I'm not too ruthless with Caladon then I'll probably get a good ending.

I think that for each part where you divert badly from the book willougshagfjdassdfsby gives you, you must have an equal good diversion on another point, so say you want magicks to be free, you need to counterbalance this by not allowing for taxes at all (or taxing real hard, if this is what Tarant wants). I may be off a bit since it has been some time since I did this quest.

Of course if you truly hate Tarant (some of the more magickal players really do), pick everything in favour of Caladon, but do know that this won't earn you jack shit

I have completed the negotiations with honorary ambassador title and 11000 coin by picking the top dialog options each time. I had CH20, 5 persuation, expert training and IN8.

It still doesn't effect the end movie if you pick some non-optimal answers. I get 7000 and Tarant and Caladon stay peceful.

I can never bring myself to ban labor unions either. A little bit of real life showing through, I guess.
