Best Sword!

From the best of my knowlege and experiences, the Arcane Greatsword seems to be at least one of the best swords in the game(that I know of). Could anyone tell me which is the best, and possibly, where abouts it's located...thnx!

 

I think the Filament sword is the best. Sarah Toone gives it to you when you buy the mine. 8)

 

No, the Great Arcane Sword is the best, with the possible exception of the Void Sword.

My favorite weapon is The Gun you can get in Vendigroth, The WarBringer I think

 

What exactly is this Void Sword and where can it be found? I've never been able to find it before...

 

It's just a big fricken sword, you can find it in a cave in the Void, just keep going through the teleporters and you should see a staircase off the side of the the ummm, ground thingy, it's in thier some where

 

can you get back to Arcanum after entering the void?

 

sadly no, but I think there is a hack somewhere you can download where Arronax will be able to teleport you back to Arcanum

I like the filament sword, too, but only with melee mastery to cancel out the negative effects. It's fast and the criticals are great.

 

The Bangledlian Scourge is the best sword I think.

stillwater blade in conjunction with a dark helmet (100 ma means level 40 vorpal bunnies, you can get these both with a thief (at least one point in pick pocketing) and some patience at shrouded hills (it does make the game pathetically easy though))

this dark helmet alignment/magical aptitude thingy .... bug or feature?

 

There's a thread further down called 'Nicely Bugged Dark Helm' that will answer all your questions. I thin kit's a bug, though.

 

I'm not sure if it's the BEST, but I've found the Quality Broadsword quite good. About 6-20 damage, I could be wrong though.

 

sword of sickness is 5-20, but arcane great sword is better.

 

:minigun: The best sword in Arcanum belongs to the daughter of Warren Pel Dar. "The Sword of Baltar" can be obtained from Ms. Pel Dar she lives in Blackroot and will brief you on the history of the Dragon Knights and her father, feel free to take this time as an opportunity to a.) pick pocket the sword, in which case I highly reccomend using a fate point, or choice b.) kill her, in which case I highly reccomend using a stun gernade. Be aware however if she dies you can't complete Maximillius' quest later on in the game. Enjoy!

Please allow me to note so as not to showcase my ignorance of weapons in the land of Arcanum that I generally play tech characters and although baltar is magical it is the best sword for that genre.

I voted for Bow because It was feeling lonley with no votes and even if its not Technically the best weapon (no pun intended) Its my favorite weapon cos Elvs use them and Elvs are cool so there 3 hehe

I think the Balance sword is one of the best, give to someone with high speed AND give em a speed drink and they get many, many attacks in :wink:

My favorite Sword is the Still Water Blade .....mmmmm summon Animals 3

 

Their is a sword that you can get early in the game if you do the minning quest honorably, It's called the "filament sword" and boy does it kick ass, just keep it away from rock monsters cause it wears down FAST :roll:
