    Chrono Trigger.

Nothing like Frog, Chrono, and Magus cutting loose on a giant monster hedgehog.

I say Morrowind, Torment, Arcanum and Fallout are up near the top.

Wild Arms 3. I spent over two weeks growing the vegetable garden to 100%. Took me over 250 hours to complete the game at 100%.

Morrowind and Arcanum. I like the FF series but I wouldn't call them RPGs otherwise you may aswell stick the Zelda series down as RPGs

Arcanum & TOEE(although both are quite heavy on hack-n-slash ingredients), Final Fantasy(original on NES), and some of the old school DOS games(forefathers of many now populr games)...

And maybe a few others, but I aint played all that many yet. By my name I like just about anything that is close to a RPG, but then I aint owning a whole lot of them

I still feel that Planescape: torment rates as the greatest. It was endlessly fun and I just want to play it again and again. sigh I wish I still had that game.

Morrowind? How can you even put it on the same list as Fallout and Arcanum? Save for the graphics, Morrowind had a horrible dialoug system, a rather boring plot, and a confusingly vast world.

Ok Morrowinds dialogue was dodgy, it still rates as being one of the greatest RPG's ever made. It as made by the best and it is so unbelivably non linear that you can't help it if it has more bugs than a Chinese embassy. It takes more than dialogue to stop me from playing that game. Everyone loves it and I mean EVERYONE!

nbrosz, I am disinterested in your opinion. Particularly when you repeat it in the same thread without adding anything, and in fact saying less the second time.

And morrowind had some great things going for it. It would have made a very nice MMORPG, instead of a standard single-player one, because it didn't have the plot and the dialogue neccessary to make it work that way.
