The Elven council could get away with it, because the void was already ruined good and proper before they discovered banishment... But what happens when the next dimension along starts banishing their most evil and dangerous people into Arcanum?
1) I would get some good company? or 2) Finally some decent work for my Warbringer. Plus a plot idea to get to that other world to inform them that Arcanum is not empty.
Great idea! However, is this "New World" like Arcanum's world in the Age of Legends? Mainly magickal? Or would it be based on technology, or kind of a magick/technology kinda thing, like in Arcanum?
Maybe Arcanum 2 can be set in a time where magic is almost extinct and technology rules but a strange new magical race appears from the void and attacks arcanum or something like that. Your goal would be to find out how they got to the void in the first place and how to stop them. This would switch the starting difficulty a bit since magickal characters would have a hard time in a tech world so you could have something like you pick where you want your character to start. Something like if you want to be a tech you can start in Vendigroth and if you want to be a mage you can start in Tulla which wouldn't have any tech in it.
Why find out how they got to the Void? Wouldn't finding out how they got into Arcanum be more important/useful?
