ANNOUNCEMENT: Site back up

Hey guys,

Looks like the forum is back up. However... all posts made between Jan 8 2002 and the server crash are lost. This is because I didn't make a database backup between that time and the server crash. I was actually making one the night before the crash, but I aborted and told myself "Fuck it, I'll do it tomorrow, I need some sleep now". Big mistake. Anyway... GMX still hasn't put their server back online so I can't get the database info. It's gone... we'll just have to deal with that. Otherwise, the site's back. Enjoy, and post away!

You seem to have forgotten the three rules of webmastership Calis:

1. It's never your fault. Refer to Rule 2.
2. It's always the subordinates fault.
3. If it's the owner's fault, refer to rule 1. You obviously didn't have the support required by other staff members.

 

Good! That means that all the data between the last time I checked and now is gone... I only have to read 3 threads now! Woooohoooo! Plus, I'm back. Didja miss me?

 

I can see them on there just fine.It does not look like they are lost.

 

Finally, some people here are adicted to posting you know. :smile: There is just one serious drawback - I have an exam tomorrow, arrrgh :sad:

Glad the site's back up and glad to be back, I must say. My life now has meaning once more. I only hope sheriff fatman's wise ass withstood the server crash.

 

I just want to say that I'm also glad that Calis's dope pushing slave driving empire can continue to operate unhindered once more.

 

It looks like a "never" on that. At any rate, I'll have to wait until GMX puts the old server back online, and they're not responding on that. Also, *IF* I'm gonna get the other posts, I can't put them up without wiping out everything that was posted since we moved in on this server. So... no dice, guys.
