i have tried everything I know how to do to get this thing..thot it was gonna be mine on the "find the princess" quest but NO DICE!! who the hell am i supposed to talk to for this thing????
Uh, if you're refering to the necklace of Princess Aria, just follow the coast all the way south from Dernholm. Eventually you'll hit Razors Point or somethin like that, and the shipwreck. Follow the shallow water path marked with barrels and crates over to the ship and examine the corpse to find the necklace. Heck, even if the King never tells you to find his daughter the quest automatically is given to you if you find the necklace. Win/win situation I guess.
hmmmm what quest r u talking about, the only way i know how to get a boat is to but it for 50000 or gamble or do 3 quests for stringy pete
yes now I see some post are enigmatic least to say. see stringy pete quest for a boat and since someone had problems using the boat I say now from the start you can only go to ashbury then row anywhere you like
i found that out i just used the boat to get to thanatos(because it wouldnt's go any where else) so i just use the teleport spell to go everywhere
I found that as well, first you must go to thanatos, then you can go wherever it says you can. I have also stumbled onto a very startling revalation: The boat never moves! In fact its not really one boat, but a cleverly designed series of teleportation devices disguised as boats. Why do I assert this you ask? Here is my evidence: 1. I leave Virgil (wait) to guard the boat at Tarant, then pilot it to, say Caladon. Upon ariving at Caladon, Virgil is no longer on the boat. When returning to Tarant via the boat, there Virgil is in the same place I left him on the "boat". 2. I leave the boat in Tarant and travel on foot to Ashbury where I find my pilotable (is that a word?) "boat" at the docks in Ashbury. There is some sort of strange magick or technology at work here my friend. The answers are out there. Pazuzu sounds familar, where have I heard that name? [ This Message was edited by: RightTurnClyde on 2001-09-28 07:41 ]
I think Razor's point is actually EAST of Caladon, right before the mountains. I guess they didn't have the time or money to actually keep track of where your ship is. There are always 2 ships in EVERY city/town map with ships - they're part of the map. They'd probably be difficult to remove. Besides, it's much more convenient this way.
