2 Specific Portraits

Hi guys and gals,

Sorry if the answer is already somewhere else but I searched and found no results so...

I was wondering if there is some way for me to get either portrait of Franklin Payne or Sebastian as my character's portrait?

Sebastian is especially preferred since it would look great for my Techno-freak character. Thanks in advance for any info and sorry in advance if it is a futile question without an answer.

 

I think it is a matter of finding the picture and just adding it to the portraits to the userport.mes/gameport.mes, if you don't know about this some of the custom portrait downloads on here have a nice simple readme included

I'm not sure where they are in the game files but they are there in one of the arcanum dat files I believe

somewhere in arcanum3.dat if I were to take a guess

DATBuilder in the downloads section can be used to uncompress the dat file

If you're having difficulty with the dat approach this forum has both in the avatar gallery, you could use them but you would have to convert them into the appropriate image types plus a crop and/or resize

These will of course need to be renamed for example HUMSeb.bmp, HUMSeb_b.bmp when put into your portrait folder and [(number)][HUMSeb] added to your userport

Forgive me for the poor quality of the larger pictures as far as I can remember you will only see the scaled up version when picking the portrait in the new character section, or you could leave them out and let the game scale the picture for that screen

 

If you go into your profile to select an avatar picture, you can click "Show Gallery" towards the bottom and you can select the .jpg pictures of several characters there. You should be able to save those pictures. For example, my avatar is one of the options for a male half-elf in the game.
