the Ruby Glade

How the heck do you get the the Ruby Glade to recover the Ruby?

 

Reading the book the halfling gives you should mark the location on your map. Or if not, the halfling himself will once you've read the book.

get the book from the halfling.. read it and talk w/ him again.

the second time i did it.. i lost the book somehow... im a moron sometimes.. hah thats what happens when your playing games at 4am. once you get to the glade... its a new prob thou.. i had 4 in prowling and expert status and was wearing the ring of concealment that he gives you (or maybe i stole it frmo him... /shrug) anyway i can walk to the alter but they attack me whenever i take the ruby from the alter. so i finally managed to get them to attack me... and not kill me in one combat round, and my followers finished them quick :smile:

ps.
someone give me the loc on the glade.. so i can find it without it being marked (i have the loc from terra arcanum site.. and that didn't cause it to appear.. so if it is something other then 749w 249s ... hook me up.. otherwise.. for reference... you can't do this quest unless you read the book.

Just take off any armor your wearing while prowling and leave your npcs behind. You should be able to make it after a few tries (I had to reload 3 times).

 

I have the Glade marked on my map. The question is, "How do I get there around the mountains, etc?" It is not letting me go to the other part of the continent, and I am not sure how to get up there.

 

Either use Teleport spell or scroll or wait until you go to Quintarra.

Thanks BlueDEvil. I will just wait until I go to Quiterra (sp), I just need to get Myrth to tell me where it is, so I do not have to kill him.

You know about gorgoth and Hardin passes. There is a pass or gateway to the wasteland that should allow you to get to the Ruby Glade.Its way above Ashbury. That may help. But definitely do the quest for a tech healer in quintarre she'll give you a gem that when equiped on your belt when you activate it will give invisibility. That will allow you to get the ruby. Don't be a dunce and get rid of it like I did Now I'll never go to the Glade.

 

Got to find that healer. :smile:

 

hardin pass

For the life of me, I cannot get through Hardin Pass. Is there a trick? I thought I would click there, and then once there, I could go to Quintarra.

 

FIGHT

you have to fight through it in order to be able to cross through it i think? you can just run clear through if you want.. but you should be able to fight through it easy if you've been leveling (gorrins pass is a diff story thou... sooo many fire elementals/ore golems that your gear gets trashed... making it a hard fight)

fight in a southeast direction and once you get the blue world icon again, you can go on to quintarra

 

oh yeah

you also don't have to fight through it again afterwards.. just once.

southeast or wouthwest. i have not encountered anything except the stillwater giant and some wolves.

is the pass marked on your map?

if it is...

move on the world map to the loc of the pass

once it brings you into small screen again... walk southwest (sorry if i said east) .. you'll have to fight through some wyvern types and some gorrila and wolf types.. but nothing special like elementals... so its not that tough.
