Bust open a door/lock? (little spoiler)

Hey, I just started with Arcanum a couple days ago, and excuse my newbie-ness, but is there a way to get a lock/door open other than lockpicking? The one I'm referring to is the warehouse with the two skulls in Tarant.

I've heard people refer to using brute force, but I can't figure out how to break down the door, if that's what people mean. Any help? Thanks in advance,

2nd level spell unlocking cantrip

- brute force, like unlocking cantrip is noises, highlight the item (you'll see a hitpoint number if its breakable) then hit the f2 key (commands followers to attack).

- if you wanna do it yourself, click attack to draw your weapon, then hold the alt key and click on the item with the left mouse (make yourself force attack).

- diamite kills almost any man-made structure, stuff like explosive gernades and molitov cocktails do some damage, you'll have to use more then one thou

- never tried a damage spell on a non-creature, but that might work also.

Before breaking a door with force, I would disarm the whole party because the weapons get damaged!

By the way, the "unlocking cantrip" spell didn't work when I tried to break into the "twin skulls warehouse".

There might be another way: the auto-skeleton key (third level mechanics sheme).

I found unlocking cantrip to have about as much effectiveness as bashing things with a wet fish. I think out of all the locks I tried it on maybe (I'm being generous here) 5% will open.

 

Axe doesn't do door damage but it does damage with metals

i deffinately hate the cantrip... i mean noones around and i burn 50mana and a full fatige bar and its still locked? hehe invest in an ax :smile:
