That annoying start-up movie

If anyone else got tired of seeing the sword/gun fight movie EVERY time--the movie files are stored in sierra>arcanum>modules>arcanum>movies as *.bik files. just move the "50000.bik" file somewhere else and it won't load anymore. Also, you can rename any other movie to 50000.bik and watch it when you load the game. now if only i could get rid of the sierra and troika splash movies...

i think you mean by skipping you mean hitting enter , i think he's point is he's to lazy to even do that (hehe well, i am too haha, but thats alright) interesting idea throwing a different movie file in their /wink. getting rid of it is an interesting idea, update me if you find a way to get rid of it.

 

I personally like the vid ...I usually skip past it (like I do in all my games) but if I'm feeling extra lazy that day I dont mind watching it ..

My pc is a p2 233 and it takes fucking ages to load anything, I'm waiting to see if the 5min loading time is alleviated at all by removing this movie!

 

I think the start-up movie is rather neat,
but i can understand getting sick of it.
