There's this little ring around Virgil's feet. It's similar to the ring that appears there when we're in combat mode, only this one won't go away. He doesn't seem to be suffering at all. I've removed any items that could possibly be cursed from him, and his energy, etc. are all fine - so... anyone know what this thing is?
Please tell me you're joking. Point the mouse on you. You'll see a white ring. Point it on anyone else, depending on their reaction to you it will be a different colour. Point it on Virgil again, it's green. Amazing, huh?
Like, you just blew my mind, man. Actually I've had this happen myself. One or more of my followers will have their little color coded ring on all the time, not just when I put the cursor over them. I just save and reload and the ring disappears. Happens once in a while, must just be one of those glitches that pop up now and again.
Either it was a glitch as Canis suggested, or your so green to the RPG world that it's disgusting.... btw, did you figure out which it was? was it a glitch or was it the char stat ring?
I have had that happen, & a spell ring lingering as well. About 3 - 4 times in I don't know how many games. Won't go away once there. Only slightly anoying.
The ring's on him ALL the time, folks, not just when I put the mouse on him. PERIOD. Saving and reloading does nothing. Spells do nothing. As long as it's just some harmless glitch, that's fine - I just don't want it to be some weird curse thing that will end up killing him at a crucial moment. Heh - maybe I should give you a screen shot. ~_^
As I said, a mere one post above.... Maybe there is something to that huge annoying sig thing after all.
Agreed. I once used a potion of speed and had the silly thing around my feet for the rest of the game. Pity I didn't get the extra effects. Other similar problems encountered: Healing jacket doesn't work, but it will if you give it to someone else, make them wear it and heal them, then wear it yourself again Jayna stops using Emulyin's bow and instead turns into stupid big water monster. The game is then filled with 'drip drip drip' even after combat is over and the screen is exited (for example, leaving a town, or entering a mine, or changing levels within a mine). Probably the drip drip drip is my pet peeve.
I wonder if this was related to Virgil suddenly glowing a couple of games back. He had a white light on his back that wouldn't go away if I stripped him nakked. REally irritating.
