irreprible damage to stats?

im new to this game and 2 of my stats have lowered and turned red. What does this mean, and how do I fix it.

 

What stats, is your game patched, and did you recently wear or wield any unidentified items?

 

there is only one item that i know of that could lwer a stat permanently, and that is a sword found in the locked-down section of the tarant sewers, dont er equip it or it will permanently lower your dexterity 2 points, and these cannot be recovered.

that said, it couldnt possibly be permanent damage. there are a number of temporary things that could lower your stats, it would help more if you told us what stats were affected.

 

my bueaty point was lowered 1 and my dex was lowered 2 so i think i got the dex damage while i was in the tyrant sewers so i think that item was the problem.

will the item tell you it lowers your dex if you have it identified?

 

the sword will robably say that it lowers dex 2 points, i forget what the item itself is called, i've never encountered this problem because i read about it here before i first ventured into the sewers. the beauty penalty is probably the result of a scar you recieved during combat and can be repaired by a powerful healer(like doc roberts) using bandages, or a mage using the spell of major healing (like viril), but either way you should reload a previous saveor just start over, losing 2 dexterity is a pain in the ass, and you can never regain the character points (there are only something like 50 levels, and there are 50 character points available, and every one of them is important imo).
