I've had this game for about ten days now and have started over four times because of problems I've had. Virgil not doing anything but standing there twice. I wanted to be an educator so that I could train my NPC's and the game would only let me have one person (Virgil). Everyone else said I already had to many people. I started a new game as a war veteren and put the same stats as when I was an educator. Went up to Sogg and he joined are group right away. I thought that an educator only took one player from you according to the book but it only lets you have one player. ALso since joining this site I notice a lot of people are having problems with this game. Good story line the writers should have played it a few times to get all the bugs out of it.
I am an educator and start out with 2 followers but since I am an educator, I only got one. Maybe that's what happened.
Educator As part of the educator background you are permitted one less follower than you would normally be allowed because you spend more time with each follower in order to train them. So if your Charisma would allow you 2 followers, as an educator, you would only be allowed one. LB
In the PDF file manual I've downloaded at TA's website, it says you are allowed +2 if you are an expert in persuasion. Someone says here it is only experimental so if you read the manual it is different.
I think I'll just stay as the war veteren now. I've been able to pick up three followers, since I've changed background and not getting my you no what kick as bad as I was with just one follower. Still like the story line I'll just stay away from being a teacher. Thanks for your replys Traveler
