Discover the joys of "body of stone". It doesn't make them angry, and all wielded items are unequipped, permitting a so-so pickpocket to take that super duper armor or that Sword of Insanity he or she so covets. :D

    No.

No, no! NOT FLESH TO STONE! :-o Body of stone. Body of stone is a high level earth spell. It turns people into golems, not statues. Forget about looting the chests with them as golems: you might as well stand by a lit stick of dynamite! I'm talking about PICKPOCKET *only*!

Edit: You can use this, for example, to get the sword of Baltar or, say, all of Stout's equipment off of him (so you're fighting a naked guy with no weapon)

Xan, I have to admit that you've come across an absolutely ingeneous solution. So far, I've always used a fate point to steal equipped items, like Azraam's Star, the Sword of Baltar and the Medallion of Beauty but I fast run out of fate points and thus have to pick and choose what I want.

Keep up the good work. :)

hmm your right, bodyof stone has always been very useful to me, just make sure you dont do that then fail... getting attacked by them in the form of an ore golem can be disastorous!

And of course, this is probably the only technique that will work for those poeple who don't take up the baneful gauntlets. I've been looking for something like this because there are quite a few people around who don't equip the BG's or who you can't engage in conversations to stop them from healing themselves. :???:

    Baneful what?

I've never seen those before. I should give those a try. In the past, I've always killed Bates the old fashioned way: dominating him, escaping, and killing him at Arbalah's house while he's still my mind slave. Though it would be nice to make a sociogram of him and appleby near the body of *spoiler* with a small steam engine nearby.

Say, Ferret, why is your portrait a cat?

    Xan

I'm glad I'm a journeyman. I totally dig the sword. Unlike that totally UNcool bow and arrow! HA! I've got a sword and you don't.

edit: Wow! And now I get a mace! I'll never be a master, NEVER!
