i convinced longhair to return to being king, but i was wondering if there's still a chance in getting him to join my party.
He asks you to return after you find out what happened to the Black Mountain Clan. Do so. Longhair. Heh.
Loghaire, I think, but "Longhair" is just as good. Cool, thanks Canis, I didn't know that. (I'll head back to the Wheel Clan as soon as I'm finished talking to M'in Gorad.) Regards, Morden
Still a chance? The only chance you have starts with him returning to the throne & taking an intrest in the world again. If he stays in his cave, he will live out his substansial lifespan wallowing in self pitty. Keep up the good work & talk to him after your second conservation with the Silver Lady.
What's the deal with King Loghaire's stupid ax? Even in his hands, it reads 0 damage, so I never equipped it on anyone.
I believe it always displays 0's because damage and such depends on the aligment meter and your race.
Harrow always does crap damage no matter your alignment or species. Why do you think Loghaire pawned it off on you in the first place!
well yeah... but did you see the mess he made in the room right before his little cave? monsters are strewn about including some golems. he killed all of 'em with harrow while completely naked.
I always thought Harrow was crap also, but give it to a good Dwarf, & make him use it. Then go to options & set floats to verbose. Then find something for him to hit. It does a lot more damage than its specs say it will. I still haven't figured out if it is good, but it ain't crap.
i also noticed that it hits 2 or 3 times with each swing although the 3rd hit always seems to do zero damage. after killing a two or three dozen things, i would say that the thing averages out 40 to 50 damage. a very high dexterity is recommended with harrow since it's pretty slow (6).
i assume in the hands of an evil follower its crap then? ps i read that you have to talk to him about the shape and the stone to be on the right lines to end his exile, but i haveint even heard about it till i get to caladon and read the book of durins truth?
you get that info from his father...have to follow the right answer path and he will tell you all about it Parmanian
figure I get it backwards............hehehehe plus I'm always around 15 int so I didn't notice that stat Parmanian
do you ever get high beauty? you dont need the reaction bonus much anyway, you cant be liked even if your ugly, just get arbalahs blessing, then later on do the geshtianna quest thing.
High Beauty gives you lower prices on goods from shopkeepers. I don't usually put points in BE. I usually just get Purity of Water and fire it up when I need to shop or want good reactions from people. Some characters need high BE in order to get the full action of the game.
Yeah but that high beauty has got to cost you someplace in the game...heh? Parmanian every up has its down
