Fallout Fans are happy! Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel

Everyone who's interested in Fallout already knows this, the console abomination is striking the hearts of Fallout fans everywhere. What can be said about the game? The screenshots suck ass, the trailer is even worse, the game has nothing to do with the original fallouts except the name.

The trailer which sucks ass, as we can CLEARLY see this game has *absolutely nothing* to do with the real setting.

What's been happening? The entire fanbase's been protesting, writing on the iply forums... which resulted in a number of bannings, among those banned are Saint_Proverbius, and Killzig who don't need an introduction.

Why did they get banned? Well, iply says because he used Chuck Cuevas' (producer of FOBOS) picture as his avatar. A while later he was unbanned only to be banned again this time along with Killzig under the pretext of threats and spam mail. Everyone knows it's bullshit and its just iply's way to deal with "inconvenienced".

This game is utter shit. Check out their Fobos site and you'll see that it's all about huge boobs, thongs and tomb raider style akimbo running around.

And what about the Fallout fansites? The forums are filled with angry fans trying to find a clue on how exactly team Chuck came up with the idea of total Fallout rape. They are using a name which is recognized only by pc CRPG fans... and selling in to the console action shooter audience. :thumbup:
Which makes us much sense as selling sand in the desert.

Starting from the time when Killzig first found out about a console fallout game which he dubbed "Fallout Fantasy" which made DAC loose their gamespy hosting, all information and screenshots tell us that the game is aimed at 13 year old boys who fantasize about chicks in thongs and are entering puberty.

This game is a joke, Iply is in a DIRE financial state and is hoping this game will make a quick buck... Guess what, the probabilty of this game selling is about the same of Disney announcing Mickey Mouse is actually gay.
The worst thing about this is that it kills all the hopes of a real FO sequal. We've seen it happen before, Xcom fans wanted part 3, instead they got XCom: Enforcer.
This is nothing but rigor mortis.

Also, you get to choose from 3 - THREE!!! - pre-set characters, loosely classified as the Big Tank, Athletic Chick and Genderless Healer...wait a second, healer? In a Fallout game, isn't the third pre-set character a diplomat? I wonder why they've changed that to a healer...

Did I mention it's co-op?

 

Hehe, what's even MORE funny is that because of all the people coming into the fbos forum and posting about how much this game will be crap iply cleared out their entire forum and locked it.

What are they gonna do now? Pretend all the negative feedback they got never happened?

Jar - The third character is a ghoul who possesses "secret mutant powers".

 

Hmmm, Interplay KNOW that nobody wants this game? are they headed by a chimp now?

Actually, That'd explain "Giants: Citizens of Kabuto" quite nicely.

 

Bear in mind that these screenshots are actually supposed to make you buy this game. So does the trailer. All they do is make me RUN LIKE HELL.
That's Cuevas' previous preformance as a producer which cannot be described as anything short of being "artistic" since the publishing of that total crap title which was even rated low by gamespy only made sense in his autistic mind. *caugh* gamespy, a low rating! *caugh*

 

i remember when tactics came out, the whole fan base made a BIG fuss, and now this POS comes out, ppl make a bigger fuss...

 

I have head about it and i think it is sad, i hate those aresholes who do this. I think a cultural revolution in the gaming genre would do a lot of good. :x

Ok, I admit I only said that to annoy you. But I'd like to leap to the defence of Giants: CItizen Kabuto. Rockin' game.

 

I heard that it was a pretty good game as well, if somewhat unusual...

FOBoS is going to suck though. I mean, multiplayer Fallout on consoles? What is the world coming to?

 

G:CK was awful, truly terrible.
It's an all eye-candy no gameplay, errr, game. Also it crashes whenever I'm achieving something.

 

Talking about eye candy, there is no such thing in FOBOS, except leather thongs and extra large boobs. :/

Yeah, no kidding that's the market they're aiming for. However they din't take into account that the console market is flooded with similiar games which offer better gameplay, bigger more detailed boobs, and in most cases the player can somehow relate to the title.

Why is iply using an established name selling it to people who never heared of it is something a hella of a lot of people would like to know.

 

I thought "Fallout Fantasy" was the ill-chosen code word for Lionheart...?

Killy made up that mock title after he found that iply is making a console action fallout game.

 

Well, being that the original rumours I heard surrounding 'Fallout Fantasy' was an action based console title, this statement gains more credibility, although I personally think it's more credible as the code name for Lionheart, given it's fantasy and uses SPECIAL.

 

You know of Elara right? UV? Well, she used to write coherent stuff at the iply forum, untill suddenly she took a 180 degree, became an iply moderator, and started posting "let's give them a chance!" HAH! That was rich. She later stepped down from the modship, came on irc, and explained Cuevas emailed her with inside information and asked for help. Some of the details she let on was the originally, fobos was supposed to use SPECIAL as well.

I think they dropped that idea.

We found out later (thanks to me and Mr.Carrot) that the person on Elara's picture (who she always claimed to look like) is actually a japanese porn star. Go figure.
