Problem with the main quest.

I think I may have hit a bug =( ...I went into the basement of the ring maker to find out whos ring I had, I killed him, looted the file, found out it was the creator of the steam engine, but the game didn't update the quest log. It doesnt show that that quest is complete. I can't continue (getting the quest to get into the mansion) with the game =

Anyone have this happen? Any way around it?

What is the quest log?

 

The thing that tells you what quests you have completed or not.

 

What I meant was, what was it in the quest log that does not update?

 

Remember, there's two sections to your log, one section mentions quests pertaining to the main story, the other regards optional side quests. When you opened the file cabinet in the ring shop and read the invoice, the game should've of made a special sound announcing that you completed part of the quest.

 

No problems with the quest logs. I was asking, again, what was written in it that does not update.

If the log updates properly, there should be mention that you have learned that the name of the ring owner is 'Gliber Bates', from here, whenever you speak with one of the guards in Tarant you have the option of asking where Gilbert Bates lives.

 

Ok, I'll just stop. aurrasing512 might have solved it already. I was talking about the "text" written in the quest log. I don't have any problem but I was trying to solve aurrasing512's.

Lol! Sorry to confuse you again Friend_Al, my original reply was directed to Aurassing. I figured he may not be seeing the updated quest if looking in the wrong part of the book.
As far as the actualy text that updates in the 'mini' quest section, I can't remember, there may have not even been anything to update, but the info he's looking for now should be updated in the 'main' quest section.
Otherwise this is another one of those infamous quirks. =D

:razz: I was to upload all the possible quest logs so that aurrasing512 can point this out. I am now having problem with the FTP for netfirms.
