From what I've seen so far, if you act like a complete ass, then yes people do put words in your mouth.

If i became president in the us i would gain respect just by getting the title, because i would be given power. See, the only thing I'm guilty of was digging up one post which was reasonably old, and I was told not to do it again, and I haven't.

The only other thing I've done was to defend myself in this thread from stupid people putting words in my mouth to even more stupid people trying to criticize an ezboard I made a long time ago.

You're right, most people do respect those who are in power, because most people are sheep and follow blindly; they can't think for themselves. You are one of those people.

And Jinxed has earned at least of a bit of respect for not banning me so far, and for laying out the rules and conditions on which I would be banned, ignoring the cries from such established posters such as the guy who told me to shut the fuck up, the guy who keeps putting words in my mouth, and even newer members with low post counts calling for my head.

To me, a post that is on the first page (in the middle of the page no less) is not gravedigging. To be honest, I probably never looked at the dates because being of the first page, I assumed it was recent. And looking at the total traffic on this board, it is a fairly recent topic. And besides, I have already said I won't do it again, as I see how much you in particular have gotten your panties in a bunch over it.

And as soon as you keep up with the conversation, I will quit reminding you to.

This isn't really my fight, but I'm growing weary of watching so much energy being wasted on a stupid argument.

All I can really say here is: If you don't care, stop perpetuating the argument. At the very least, stop posting the same tripe over and over again. I wasn't aware that 'gravedigging' as it's been coined, was a cardinal sin. Now I'm informed. Now I will take steps to avoid doing so.

Try posting about things that actually matter, or at least may be interesting, instead griping how everyone's an asshole, and how they are unworthy of your respect..

Most people do follow power blindly. That is a fact. Most people don't question things, they just do what they are told. This isn't such a bad thing. It keeps people like you from controlling things. That is a fact. Apparantly, YOU don't know much about the world, because if you did, you'd know that not 51%, not 10%, not even 1% of the people control the world. Try something like .00001% control more than 90% of important decisions made. Please pay attention in worldciv or politics or whatever class you are in where they are supposed to be teaching this stuff.

From what you are saying i can see that you has no understanding about politics since you belive that most people follow their leaders blindly, in the western democraties all the leaders are chosen, and they are followed because people trust them to do what is best for the people. If there is a small hint otherwise, a man will be kicked. in most other countries people don't follow blindly, they check out their oppurtuinties before following, if they have chance, many are forced. people do question things before they do a choice and they take an decision based on what they know, not because they follow blindy. Try working in a shop for once and see how far you will get if you start asking questions on why you have to carry out the groceries.

Most of the most powerfull people inn the world is eleceted by their people, and when they make decisions we respect those because it is a decision that is made by the people. AND i can not repeat it enough people do question what they are told, i have never met a person that question what the politicians are doing here in norway or in the rest of the world.

And what kind of choice is R or D anyway? Sure, it's a choice, but some would argue (correctly!) that the man the people wanted to govern didn't get put in office. Kinda put a damper on that whole democracy thing.

Just like the Germans questioned Hitler? Or Saddam's men questioned him? Or Russians or Chinese or a hundred other examples of people following blindly.

Some people think about questioning, sure, but what have they done about it? Nothing, that's what. They follow because it's the popular thing to do.
