Okay, I started the game with an elf and took the option of knife thrower. So basically I spent 1 point in throwing(lvl.2), 1 in pickpocket, 1 in Charisma(9), 1 in minor healing, 1 point in persuasion. My first goal was to keep a steady increase in followers so that eventually I would end up with 6 followers.(20 charisma, expert in persuasion). This also comes in handy when getting people to do things that they wouldn't have done normally. My second goal was to become an expert in throwing(dexterity 20, 3/4 lvl throwing) and to get the azrams star(21-30damage a hit). This weapon and other thrown weapons dont get hurt when hitting monsters like ore golem which is a +++. And then just steadily increase my magic until I was master in white, conveyance, divination.(disarm is useful, but I often end up just beating chests with the azrams star). So now I am at the end of the game(haven't beaten it yet) with a lvl 45 mage, who does 252-360 damage a turn(150% to hit) 12 shots I believe. To get azram star talk to Clarrisa in the inn at Black Root, she gives you location on map. A techie sounds fun but I don't even know where to start. Could someone tell me how they started off to give me a good footing?
well, to be a tech you should invest in guns which means perception. also intelligence but in is not necessery since you can use essence of intelect. I think you should invest in blacksmithing cause you need a elite plate for a machined plate (power armor) also guns and electricity. no need for alot of dex since you can wear 2 rings 4+dex. herbalism or chemistry is up to your preferences. to bad everyone has to start with 1 slot for meele since the gun at the begining sucks! Until you get some better guns and believe me there are some ass kicking guns
Actually if you select the Bandit background during character creation you get a pretty good revolver but you start with no money. A good choice if you want to be a gunslinger.
Disarm? Drunken: Umm... You do know that Disarm is for disarming your opponents, not for chests? Your message makes it sound like you are trying to use it to remove traps or something.
It's a manner of personal taste really I would say he doesn't suck, but that's just my opinion, I'm just someone that doesn't play mage characters, Battle mage at most. I think the whole "tech" idea is fresh and it brings new life and ideas to the Rpg World
I have mastery in firearms 105% in the dark. with my telsa gun I do 10-80 damage per hit I did not try it out completly but there is no range that might mean almost unlimited or very short. time will tell. But I just love the way people fall apart to pieces good for plate mails since they have low ER
oops didn't mean to put in disarm, I meant the spell that unlocks chests/doors. Whatever it is bloody called.
