well the subject tells it all. i know that if you give sogg some wine then he'll be happy, some dwarven snuff for magnus i think and some earl grey tea for gar... but what do i give the dog to make him happy? he keeps running around and whining with no apperent reason. and his reaction towards me has dropped to 40 (suspicios).
Letting him die and resurrecting him is the only way I believe. I'm not even sure that works because he rarely dies in my games, but I let the gnome kill him once and then I resurrected him to have him join me and his reaction was about 70. That's the highest I remember getting it. Usually it doesn't change from 50 at all for me.
hmm ok i'll just get him killed. but i'll have to steal a few ressurecting scrolls from the magic shop. thx a bunch, you've been very helpful.
Just feed him lots of Golems & the ocasional Fire Elemental. 50 ain't bad, 20 is bad. BTW, Jormund will stick around at -3 (hatred). I think Dog will too.
i'm -47 and dog is still with me... it's not like he'll tell me: "look master i can't stay with ya, you're just too evil for my tastes" hmm the killing thingy worked, i just had to make virgil wait for a while so he wont heal me every 5 secs. after ressurecting he had 70 reaction towards me. thx again Gunnut.
That -3 is Jormund's reaction, not my alignment. Dog doesn't care about alignment, but watch out for him near Gnomes in Ashbury.
oopsy i mixed those 2 ok i'll remember that though i'm not planning to take jormund with me. (i'm tech)
Jormund is free! You shouldn't care for his alignment, you can have him and don't buy him a single potion, until he dies... he's free, that's all that matters... afterall who would waste a follower slot in a NPC that needs 100 fatigue to cast Desintegrate?
No, I don't. Unless you talk about putting a Dark Helm on him... but that won't increase his usefulness because he'll still need lots of fatigue to cast any spell.
Yes, that's what I mean. No, it doesn't help his FT usage, the staves help that, but he does Fire & Force, & both of them have spells that depend on MA for max power.
As in he will have to cast the spell less to kill the enemy therefore he will need to cast fewer spells thus saving fatigue
Hunh! I haven't noticed any difference with gnomes in ashbury...I'm curious now. Yes the only way I could find to raise Dog's reaction was to..well..Raise him.. I even tried feeding him at every town and nothing changed. Maybe he requires something other than bread? Although bread is about the only food I've come across. I'm glad I surfed through here, I was kinda wondering what one had to do to increase party members reactions..
stay for more, maybe you'll find about alot more stuff that never accoured to you or stuff you didnt know but forgot to ask.
