I am playing an evil 1/2 ogre mage. I'm level 25, and am currently running around near Caladon (in the main quest, somewhere after Tseng-an). Background is Sickly Child.

    Some stats:
    W: 20, C: 13, I:10, S:10
Spells: Teleport, Familiar, Conjure Spirit, Charm. (and everything beneath them in the appropriate trees)

Have been playing the game by summoning 2 Guardian Ogres during fights, and just provoking and killing anything I couldn't persuade (I never needed Harm during the whole game). Virgil is my only follower (have had a familiar as well for a while now. Is there any way to dismiss a familiar, or tell it to wait, by the way?).

I purposely load down virgil with lots of gear, so that when I order my followers to attack, the ogres get there first.

So - which additional follower(s) to get? Which stats to develop? Is it any fun/worth to go to Dominate Will/Spell Reflection/Tempus Fugit?

I could go crazy and max out CH and persuasion, for instance. Or just go to 20 Con.

    Let me know!

    Thanks

Are you a pure mage or a battle mage? Temporal colledge is quite useful in speeding up your party and slowing down the enemies. If you're a battle mage, you could get agility of fire (+3DX I think) and strength of earth (+3 strength), even purity of water if your beauty isn't high enough. Dominate will might be good (cast it on a guy you want to kill and take him outside so you wouldn't have to cut his head off in public :D ). Quench life or disintegrate as an "emergency spell" to get you out of trouble.

Pure mage. My Combat actions consist of looking on and running away until the guardian ogres get to their man. :D

I was thinking of going up to Dominate Will since it seems in-character. Enough insults to the half-ogre, and he started going evil, and with Dominate Will, it's time for others to grovel... :)

I've not run into any opposition I will need an emergency spell on. I'm at 100% MA, and that Harm spell works like a charm.

I'm running unpatched, by the way.

as an evil character you might want to go back to tsen ang to get zan. she is a dark elf follower who is unsure of the paths the dark elves are taking. she is a magic user and ive heard she is pretty good

Dominate Will rocks. Reflection shield is only useful for an evil trick or two. Cast DW on someone then RS, cancel them in the same order. Presto, a free folower.

You can only get rid of a Familiar with Disperse Magic.

The best evil fighter is Torian Kel. He is the skelliton locked in a room in the Ancient Temple. The best follower thief is Tollo Underhill, in the pits under Dernholm. Zan is an efective mage, as is Jormund who can be a free follower, but Dark Helm that dude. Waromon is fun, but you need persuasion 3 or more to get him & if you have killed the poachers it is too late. Sebastian & Franklyn Payne are techies, but good to have around.

Oh so that skeleton was actually the infamous Torian Kel? He always attacks me, and I kill him just like I do to any other skeleton. How do I talk to him or get him on my side?
