I got Chukka into the party. He looks quite tough despite being level 16 only, and I was hoping for another "workhorse" and pyro axe wielder. But now I did a firearms master quest and for some reason his reaction to me dropped to 25. Even Magnus didn't say a word about firearms master training! Anyway I would like to try and keep the idiot in the party. Any idea what quests I could do that would raise my alignment and his reaction? Or are there other ways?
By the way, does giving money to the beggars raise your alignment?

I *think* giving money does raise alignment. At least not giving them lowers it.

25 ain't bad. He may be miffed that you atacked a 1/2 Ogre before he atacked you. To raise his reaction try the Jewel of Hebe or a Smoking Jacket / Elegant Dress. If he gets under 20, you can ask him what the problem is & how to cure it. A good quest in Ashbury is the armor quest. Talk to a dude standing on Trellis Way.

Yes, Alms to beggars raises your alignment. Insulting them lowers it. Don't mouth off to the Hand either. Or be less than polite to the Orc bandits before you kill them.

Really?! That lowers alignments?! But they're trying to kill me!

Sheesh, I was wandering why I got a -100 alignment.

    The Hand man?

I met this dude in the Dark elves tree after my ordeal with Min Gorand. After a conversation with him he told me that the Hand would no longer give me any trouble. Funny they are belligerent to me still and I have to fix thier clock every time. My alignment doesn't seem to change though either way and then you can always loot them too.

I guess that's why D&D has two axis of alignment : So that you can be both rude and good.
