Wheel Clan - Totally Stuck Bug

There is no way I can find of getting in to the dredge. I cant find the trigger that allows you to get the dialogue with the kings son to let you get in. This is pissing me off a lot. Has anyone post patch been able to get in there. Why wont they let me in anyway, I did all the shit for the dwarfs. WTF am i suposed to do now except for town hop and do worthless shit. Damnn this is pissing me off. There are too many confusing branching dialogues and some of them dont even make sense. Like when you ask virgil something and to stop talking to him you have to push "I take my leave of you now." which to me is you can stay here virgil i am leaving and you arent coming with. WTF and the other chars you can get do it too. And why has virgil stopped healing me he has the fatigue to do it but he doesnt. I almost die every battle cause he doesnt do shit and my other shithead companion keeps running away and never heals me that selfish piece of shit. I am going to go kill him right now. But honestly since this game is years after fallout I expected it too be flawless, which no game is, and VERY well scripted since that is the base of the game to get open ended results, but If I cant get any results whats the point.

 

Well, Virgil can't heal you because he is currently occupied fighting other monsters. Besides, if you are near death, Virgil waits until he has enough fatigue to do a major healing.

 

no its after battle and virgil still wont heal me and his friendly rating is like 70 higher than when he was healing me

 

well I have the problem but the other way around, I'm a tech 100% and the dumbass is trying to heal me even though it doesn't work so he lays himself out due to fatigue loss I'm just wondering, when is he gonna learn? I'm not flash with healing salves you know.

 

Yeah - be careful: if you have a shield of reflection on, Virgil will use up all of yours and his fatigue and knock you both unconcious trying to heal you. :sad:

The king told me he will tell his men to pass now... and im a "beaten with ugly stick" ogre that every person i talk to dispises.... it works for me and i dont have patch yet :smile: prolly just a scew up in the patch :sad:

thats why virgil doesnt heal the dwarf dude or anyone with high techno aptitude

 

hey, than why does he try to heal me all the time even though I'm 100% teach for like a year now? There should be a way to adjust the ai of the followers 'cause sometimes they are as annoying as flies...

 

Healing in game...

This is why you give everyone that doesn't have healing magic all your healing potions. That way they use the potions to heal you and Virgil stops trying to do it via magic, because you're already being healed by the others. This strategy works well for me, and I've played both Tech and Magic based characters.

 

That would buy you some time, but I think after they use all potions to heal you they would try the spell I guess. But still noone really came up with a better suggestion than you Beelzebubba

 

Healing in game...

Yep, this is why I spend a fair amount of time wandering the woods, picking up roots and flowers to make healing potions with. :smile: If you don't get any other techs, get the healing and magic potion techs. Those were the first two I got, and I used them a LOT. Of course tobacco leaves are a pain to find, but everything else is fairly simple to get.

 

i have this same bug too!!! the prince wont talk to me about entering the dredge and i dont wanna hafta disintegrate the cute lil dorf guard after i saved em all from crystal spiders , dont look like im gonna have a whole lot of choice tho.....

 

Give Virgil healing kits (little box looking thing with a red cross on it). You can buy em at most general stores. He has healing skill too. He tends to get stuck running in place against characters trying to get to you to heal you.
