Key...Key (spoilage...catacombs under Panarii temple)

I am not given the option of giving the password when I get to the door I am able to fight off ther guardians but not able to open the door at all...

I think that if you are given the key (Word) in the game (Through dialog, a note, or other ways) it will automaticly open it.

there is that passage up to the top...I just hope I do not have to kill anyone to get it....it may cuser some problems w/my companions...

You have to go to the panarii temple in Caladon, but only after you revived Virgil, when he runs away after the dark elves. I cuold be wrong...

But this is what **really** happened.....

Here is the situation:

Looking for that old dead elven guy, I was told by the Arceologist-priest that my best bet was to try the sewers. Eventually, I found a high concentration of undead baddies in one area (enough to put my dog, buttbiter, in bones for a year!) and a passage. I assumed this passage leads to the crypt I was seeking. Well, I knocked on the door 3 times and a bunch of spirits attacked me. Good thing I was alone and had plenty of healing and speed potions. I sent 3 to thier final deaths but the other two just stood on the other side guarding the door. I stepped back and neither one opened the door. I thew a Moltov at it and it teporarily knocked back and stunned one of the spirits but the door was not opened. So, I check the walkthough on this site (TA) and I am given the password and I guess assurances that this was **one** the way into the crypt I was seeking. Well, it turned out I had to find someone to tell me what it was. So I went back to the temple. I got some priest robes on. I left my party behind and checked the High Priest's room (dispatching the guards, of course). Nothing at all was in the room but some candles. I took the dwarf back in and had the Elven princess stay back (buttbiter is in the lobby). So we see that there a guards guarding this crypt but silly me did not know it was the right one. I was told I did not have pilgrim robes and to step back. We got attacked. We won but did not find the password on them. So I collected the rest of my groupand we headed back into the sewers to find the next entrace and to make a long story short [TOO LATE!!!!] we found no other entrance to any crypt. (We did see signs of another system of sewers all together, though. Looks like they are under the palace... Hmmmmmm....) So we went back tooks the staris down to the crypt under the Temple. To my surprise, it was a ditfferent crypt all together.... and so I was able to continue the plotline.

In conclusion, I hope the walkthrough is updated in light of this...

Entrances to catacombs...

If you look hard enough you will be able to find two entrances to the catacombs. Both of them are via broken walls on the sides of sewer rooms. If you talk to the archeologist in the correct manner he will give you the password for the door, but you don't necessarily need it to get to both sides of the catacombs as one passage opens on one side of the door, and the other opens on the other side. Just run your cursor over the side walls in the sewer and eventually you'll find both entrances.

 

OK, maybe I was not clear.....

<This is in the main game> It seems to me that in order to inspect the bones of the dead Elven council member, you need to get past the guards in the back of the temple. Now there seems to be **another** crypt that you can get to from the sewers that has the password. What is there, I do not know but my curiosity is piqued....

Coordinates for the other entrance would be nice but not required at this point since I am headed to the wasteland...

Two entrances...

Both entrances look like broken areas of wall in the sewer. One is right beside you if you go in the grate outside the temple doors. The other is a bit farther away, and I don't really have exact coordinates for it, sorry.
