The Forum Should

The Forum should make a requirement of at least 30 seconds of thought to go into a post. That way people like Menion and nbrosz would have posts that are always legible.

 

I could not agree any more. I will think 40sec's how about that? :grin:

I agree with Ferret.
Nbrosz, you are certainly not the worst about poor posts, but you do have a tendency to make some pretty dumb posts that look like the though put into it would take someone who rides the short bus (like your brother) a total of 3 nanoseconds of thought.
You just happened to be the one that I had looked at a dumb post from right before I created this topic, there are many other people I could have listed instead. A tip: don't ask stupid questions, they piss people off. Although back in Kindergarten, there may have been no such thing, they do exist, and they are far too prevalent in your posts.

 

Age plays a big role here and when I was younger, I thought everything I said was deep and meaningful. But I agree with you two. Even Quenthim seemed to put a lot more effort into his posts than Nbrosz and the other Raven fellow.

What's wrong with my posts? Just because I don't think for an hour about how I'm going to welcome someone to the forums makes me a small-thinker?

nbrosz, if you read ALL of the posts in front of the one you are making and do not whine you will decrease your amount of crap by a large sum

Oh, lookee, I spent about twenty seconds thinking about, typing, and submitting this entire post. Shame on me. Seriously, I don't care.

 

How do you intend to inforce this policy? I think that this proposal, although it sounds nice, has fallacies. The amount of time it takes to type something does not make it better. For instance: user X types a paragraph that is totally deranged and stupid... however, it takes him two minutes to type. He filled the time requirement, but that doesn't make his post any less stupid.

 

Snowmane, he's just saying this in hopes it reaches the felons. There is no way anything like this could be applied... We just need to weed out those mentioned "felons".

 

NaR...then, no-one would spam, and this forum would be boring with an out-of-date Vault of Folly.

 

You'll notice that only the bottom few in the Vault are actually amusing.
