Anyone else think Multiplayer sucks?

Arcanum Multiplayer --- WTF???

All I can say is false advertising and WTF.

The multiplayer is pathetic.

It only includes one module instead of the whole single player game.

Can't Load and Save.

Chaotic realtime combat.

I guess Sierra's / Troika's programmers have never seen multiplayer Diablo or Baldur's Gate.

BigRed, I couldn't agree with you more. I bought this game to play with my husband after finishing Baldur's Gate II together, only to find we would do the same quests over and over since you can't save a multiplayer game! Troika Games should be "looking for talented people" to make a real RPG in the 21st century instead of a worthless multiplayer RPG. This game isn't worth the $6 it will cost to ship it back to Sierra for a refund.

 

Troika are working on more modules for multiplayer. Other people are tinkering with WorldEd now as well. There will be more modules in the future. I don't think that's much of an issue.

 

Yeah, as soon as the mod-comunity grows I expect(read hope :wink: ) that we will see some good and innovative mods for both single and multiplayer games..

It's worth buying for the single player alone.

It'd just be nice if the multiplayer were dramatically improved.

 

Sounds like Troika is trying to get the community in it so that they can help them figure out what we want in MP. Look at the link to see what I mean:

I subscribed to that. So far, most of the suggestions have been fairly stupid. Things like, "Make Arcanum an MMORPG", "Let's have characters saved on servers", and so on.
