Arbalah does not seem to use his stat points when he levels. At this point in the game, he has accumulated 17 points and won't distribute them. He is a potentially awesome follower, but he is no stronger, now, then when he joined me 17 levels ago. Please, tell me how to fix this or if there is a fix posted somewhere.
Arbalah is the half-elven priest you help out in the absolute beginning of the game. You know, the guy that cursed Charles Brehgo (the dead guy in the cave at the crash site) so that his spirit had to remain in the mortal realm for all eternity. However, I myself have absolutely no idea how he managed to get Arabalah join him. He doesn't appear in any official follower list... To the poster: Are you playing a custom module. Or have you somehow tweaked the official one? Or CAN you have Arbalah with you?
I just checked the "official" arbalah dlg file - he has no join option in any dialogue line. This means that if arbalah is a follower, then someone altered his dlg file to included a join line... with these obvious consequences, as he would join, but have no advancement scheme in place with which to spend points. I never thought about doing this myself. I will see what I can come up with as an alternative to getting him to advance, as there should be a work around for this.
unless you want to create an auto-leveling scheme for him, i would just drop him for someone else with magic.
Hah, cool with Arbalah follower... anyway, I think it is too bad you can't set levelling schemes for followers ingame...
Sorry it took so long to get back to you guys. Arbalah is part of the Chris Beddoes mod. I highly recommend trying this mod. It is very easy to install and adds a lot to the game. So, back to the original question. Is there someway to get him to use a leveling scheme?!
