Melee - Expert Training

My dexterity is 13, I am already an apprentice but H. Ott will not offer to train me. Every time I ask about training he gives me the list but does not give me the option to train. Am I doing something wrong.

you need at leats 3 slots of skill on meele to become an expert. check if you have that.

 

I have 4 slots of skill on melee.

 

are you saking the guy in blackroot?

 

Yes I'm in Blackroot on the last patch of land where there is lumber close to where the trainer is (Herkemer Oggdoddler).
Is this the one?

 

Hmm.. It seems you are doing everything right, how about money? you need 500coin to be an expert, or maybe its another strange bug shit. To tell you the truth I'm getting pretty tired of those things

 

I think everyone has had their fill of "Bugs".

I do have the money ($500) that they require and he still does not offer to train me. I am
just about to give up......

You can't have 4 skill points in melee if you only have 13 dex.



Probly just a typo but I think I'll point that out...

You have to be nice. He is an old vet who got his ass kick in the war. Listen, smile, compliment. If he likes you he will offer to train.

yeah, i was wondering about that as well, 4 points, and 13 in dex

you don't have any negatives, like -.5 or so in melee, due to background?

that is, as you can't really have 4 in melee and 13 in dex, well you can, but only 1 point wont count as long as you are at 13.

Well I now have dexterity of 15 and 6 skill
points and he now offers to train me. So I
really don't know what I was doing wrong.
