CIV3 Play the World.

I just got Play the World for Civ3. The Multplayer Hotseat doesnot work too well. In gerenal it hard to make multhplayer games. I wonder it this forum might be insterest in have than place where player can meet to setup E-mail
games. It not possible no ploblen.

 

There are several Civ players here (Retard, Milo, Jar, me, Dragoon). We discussed playing online when the Play the World expansion came out. I can't remember what we decided, though.

I'm still definitely interested, but I'm not sure it's out here (UK) yet. I didn't see it when I went into Game yesterday.

Going to get civ 3 soon. Is it good?

 

While it's no Civilization 2, it's still pretty good. Wish I hadn't traded it in. Ah well, there's always Christmas.

 

Nothing as usual.

As for my participation I'm rather out of time and this unpleasant condition will last till the end of December at best.

 

That's what it says at the game's site. And that's the only way I could participate if at all.

 

I heard that there's also going to be a real-time option. No turns. That would definitely speed up games, and might be interesting to try, but I'll probably pass on Civ3 multiplayer. I haven't played the game in a really long time, and there's so many new games coming out. I also kind of burned out on Civ3 before I put it on the shelf.

 

I'm waiting for PTW to come out here so I can get it. That watercolour tileset looks pretty cool as well. I think it'll be good, I'll definitely give all the new playstyle options a whirl as well.

 

Before there was than internet there was electronic buttion board only with only ASCII text only no real graphic or sound. There was than IBM and Amigra strag game call Empire which have than E-Mail option to play.
