I'm just starting the game and am wondering how or if the vendors regain money. Ive sold some items to the vendors, but now they say that they cannot afford anything else.
Fast forward the game one day. They restock their supply and also ain some money. Sometimes you have to advance 2 days. /PeeCee
Ive advanced time forward about 2 months and they still say they cannot afford it. If i buy something that is worth 40 from them, I will be able to sell something for that same amount, but they are not gaining money.
Try doing it out of their LOS...walking a few squares away, making sure your npcs are out of the store and not in viewing distance, etc etc. The game's funny like that.
Maybe you are scaring the people who should be buying things in that shop and now the shopkeeper does not have any customers. Just a hunch. What is the limit in coins does the shopkeeper has anyway.
I think that the amount of money that the shopkeepers have varies. in Shrouded hills it isn't that much, but the stores in Tarant have more. They to run out of money, but advancing to the next day, still allows me to sell the stuff I want. I may not be able to seel all of it on one day, but then again who is in a hurry? The main quest will still be there. /PeeCee
Apparently you need to be at least 3 screen sizes away from the shopkeeper and advance exactly 3 days.
