did anyone manage to persuade the wheel clan king to return? I have 3 points of persuasion and drink the exlixir and the essence of intelect and he still says no... I only managed to persuade his son to let me down to his exile.
No, what you have to do is use the essence of intellect when you talk to the son, to learn about the shape and the stone. Once you know that, it's easy enough to convince loghaire to return to kingshipness.
I think u can coz at the end it tells u how ur actions have affected the world a few years on and it says without Loghaire, the king in waiting had to take over bt wasnt ready and there was a dwarven war...
Yes, that's true. At the end, you will see how peaceful the Wheel Clan is, that is, if you did convince Loghaire.
Dwarf King... As Zijian says, all you need to do is talk at length with his son about the shape and the stone, etc... When you've discussed everything in that dialog then when you get to the king, you can convince him that he's looking at things the wrong way and he'll return to the throne room. Later on, I had him join me for the final trip to the void.
shape and stone? What do I have to do to get the shape and stone dialogue? Do I have to complete or be in the process of completing the Pagan God's quest? That would be kind of hard to do since the first altar is part of the Qintarra quest, and I have to WASTE my opportunity to get loghaire to join me in order to get to qintarra. My character at the time that I meet loghaire is: level 35 dwarf, 100% tech apt, 19 in, 19 cha, 8 beauty (I can Force good reaction), 100 alignment (good). I've saved the miners from the spiders, I've returned Thorvald personally. My reputation is Love in the dwarf area even with my lousy 8 BE. But I can't get any shape and stone dialogue, and Loghaire always refuses to return. What the hell do I have to do to get him in my party? I need specifics.
Well.. What I needed was the dialogue line that I had to shovel to randavar to get him to talk to me about the stone and shape. I figured it out after reading the dlg files.. Its really not intuitive because around that time I am always telling randavar that he can trust me with his fathers location, and I assume that the line that I need to select is just going to rehash some of the dialogue that I just got finished reading. Had it not been so frustrating to me I might have said it was cleverly done.
Dialog options... When you've played as many RPG and Adventure games as I have, you learn to exhaust ALL possible dialog lines before you stop talking to someone, unless that option will cause the character to stop talking to you. If I end a dialog and haven't clicked on all the choices, I try to talk to them again until I see everything. You need to get in the habit of doing this, as you'll miss a lot if you don't. And as Jinxed said, the higher your intelligence the more dialog options you'll get.
I found out that there are several options at the end of this game about the Wheel Clan king. Whether you bring Magnus or not, convince him, kill him, or his son, etc.
how many times would you have to finish the game inorder to hear all the endings? Wow tons probably. Fallout was not nearly as complex from that side.
