Suggestion: Transparent Logo

Using Subsilver and the background of the logo is black. If to be transparent, it won't look good. How about layering a different image for the subsilver theme?

 

How about using the TA theme?

 

It looks okay with black background. Once, it wasn't. There's a thread in here about that.

I'm using subsilver.

 

I can just cut it out if you like. That shouldn't be a problem.

 

How do you cut it out? How about make the background of it look any other color and make it transparent? I'm not sure if it looks goods. I don't know. Back to cutting out, how's that again?

 

I looked into the whole transperency deal with Milo.

This stuff is definetly not easy. Since the graphics have been made with nothing like that in mind, altering them messes everything up. Completely new graphics would have to be made.

i was poking around with PSP i came up with this

ive resized it to lower the kb
its not that clean but if this will be used
ill clean it much better

Can you not see the rough edges?

 

mainly its the compression to a .gif that causes the jaggies
so i guess there not going to be a transparent HOL banner

 

Make the pictures .PNG images. It's probably the coolest image file format [sic] available because it can use 32-bit colours and smooth transperancy

 

It's also possible to create another type of logo for another theme.

 

yes it is - infact there is many solutions to this problem.

the key question though, is who is going to make it?
