I'm having some technical issues here. I installed the game but when I go to play it, it starts to load, then leaves me at the desktop. I've read all the official support pages and done everything they've recommended (get newest drivers, re-install, cleansweep, clean out sys. tray) but none of it has worked. My system is a Athlon, 128 RAM, soundblaster live! x-gamer 5.1, Radeon 64 MB DDR, running Win. 98 SE. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I would think the problem is your graphics card. It's a radeon, plus it has 64mb, which I remember something mentioned about cards with 64mb not running well with the current version.

    I have a Radeon 64MB card, Sats.

I'm using the 7131 drivers. What drivers are you using, HopperQ?

BTW- If you want a good site to get Radeon drivers, try http://www.rage3d.com

They always have the latest drivers for download at the top, righthand side of the screen.

If I had to guess, I'm betting it's your sound card. Sound cards are far more problematic than graphics cards, and I've seen those SoundBlaster Live! cards listed in a lot of specs, by a lot of people who have troubles with games.

Also, what chipset does your motherboard use? If it's a VIA chipset motherboard, you might want to try getting the lastest 4in1 drivers for your motherboard. Older versions of the 4in1 drivers are problematic at best.

If that doesn't work, defrag your hard drive. Having a fragmented drive can cause some nasty problems with games, especially games like Arcanum which rely on lots of tiles.
