I'm interested in finding out what games you would like to play online multiplayer. I'd like to play Civ, maybe Medieval Total War, NWN or pretty much anything.

    Anyone else?

NWN would be cool. Of course, I have to actually *get* NWN first... :(

    Yeah, NWN is good.

I restarted the game though, to take advantage of all I learned, and to level up Linu the Cleric as my henchman. This means that I'll only be playing with a level 6 Ranger/Sorceress.

Or are you planning on starting characters from scratch?

I gave up on the SP entirely. I only play downloaded modules now - they're better.

I'll still be up for a NWN match - although it's probably best as non-PvP, as I still haven't got that good at it yet.

With Luchaire in the game, I refuse to consider lettign him kick my arse at PvP - co-operative would be fine by me.

If we play NWN, I'd say it might be nice to do the old Pools of Radiance or something from scratch. Create a new char each and find a server, then play it through as far as we can.

I really wish I could play online. DAMN TEL$TRA AND THEIR SHITTY BROADBAND POLICIES!

Ah well. Neocron looks like a pretty interesting MMORPG - futuristic, shades of Fallout, and twitch skills required. Apparently, you can co-pilot tanks! That sounds fucking cool! Several people in the same tank, all doing different tasks, and laying waste to the monsters and robots in the wasteland.

I'm inspired to play some more Morrowind, as Bethesda has just released a new plug-in in which you have to siege a castle or something like that. Sounds cool, because you actually get to lead some guys. I love those whole mass battle things...And shooting from moving vehicles (like in Red Faction, where you're in the back of a Humvee).

That does sound kind of cool.

I think Neocron looks good, but I'm not sure whether it'll be the first MMORPG I go for out of the raft of new ones coming up. Lysa and I narrowed it down to a toss up between Star Wars and City of Heroes.

Both of those do look very cool, Fatman, and you can bet that as soon as I get a broadband connection I'll be getting one of those games myself. I'll probably end up getting City of Heroes though, because it seems to have better anti-griefer precautions in place. Plus, you get to be a superhero!

SWG does look cool and have some really good concepts itself, but because it's Star Wars it's going to be flooded with idiots.

I've kind of been burned out on games for a while now, with the exception of TDZK. That's pretty much the only one I've been playing online or otherwise.

I've been trying to get into chess, so if anyone knows of any online chess that we could play for free (yahoo maybe?), I'd be happy to let you bat my ass around until I get good.

Get Red Faction Milo! Best shooter I've played in ages! Okay, so it's really one of the only shooters I've ever played properly (how many people here didn't cheat at Doom? And I don't count System Shock 2 or Deus Ex shooters), but it's still fucking cool. Nice graphics, nice sound, nice weapons, nice everything! In fact, I'd be pretty hard pressed to find a grevious flaw with the game. Except for maybe the shortish length, it's definitely a good time waster.

Seeing the bounty posters for you are cool as well :). If you're wondering what it's similar to, Half-Life is a good example. Very similar in some ways, but I enjoyed Red Faction more.

Milo, check out iChess. I've used it on and off over the last few years. Not for a while, though. If you want a game angainst a poor/mediocre player, let me know.

I have never won a chess game against anyone I've played...although my opponents have been limited to my brother, uncle and granddad, all of whom are pretty good.

I will also throw my hat in for a good chess game, or any of the card games, except Hearts. Any game that you intentionally lose at sucks.

    Thanks for the chess suggestions.

I'm still learning right now. I just got this game called Chessmaster 9000 and I'm working my way through the tutorials. Damn, there's a world of difference between knowing how the pieces move and actually knowing how to play the game.

Right now, I'm drowning in Forks, Pawn Structure, Opening Strategies, Algebraic Notation, all that shit. I'm still in the middle of the beginners section, too. Right now, I'd say that I'm good enough to get my ass kicked by just about anyone. The only difference is that now, after two or three hours of post-game analyzing, I can tell you exactly what strategies you used to beat me. I know some of the basic stuff, but I'm a long way from applying it real-time during a game.

I'll play against you Milo. I used to play all da time. Haven't played in a while, but I'd be happy to pick it back up again.

That is, if you don't mind playing against a retard.

We could start a little chess club. It would round out our image of unpopular loners.

BTW, Milo, don't kid youself - you're not good enough to get your ass kicked by me yet.
