    Does Fallout 1/2 work with GeForce 3 and an integrated sound card (VIA AC'97).
    I had borrowed Fallout 2 from a friend and played it on my previous PC so I don't know if it would work. I want to know before buying.
    I haven't much problem with GeForce and olg games except for a bit of lag. The sound card on the other hand doesn't work with Deus Ex so I can only play it without sound (not that I play) :cry:

    It always surprises me when someone in rpg forum says he didn't play [all rise] Fallout [you may be seated].

    As for Arcanum I just started replaying it as a half-ogre special person background so it gives me IN2. Hilarious.

    I'm running F1 and F2 quite happily on a GeForce 4, so I guess you won't have a problem. As for the integrated soundcard, I have a friend who has one, and he has never had a problem with old DOS games, so I can't see that you will have any major issues.

    only problem i encountered is that F1's videos don't seem to apreciate win xp. other than that, it runs like a dream.

    No it's not. F1 has the best intro. Especially its first part. The one with TV showing all those advertisements while camera is moving away to finally show a destroyed city. Ingenious.

    Well, Fallout 2 was bigger, more to do and what not. Fallout did have the better video and ending though. Not that Fallout 2 was bad, Fallout was just brilliant. Storylines for both were good.

    Hmm..I have heard the high reviews of Fallout but never got any chance to play it. I'll get to it eventually..

    You won't regret buying fallout 1 and 2. The graphics ar a bit dated now but still ok, but you will play these games for hours, so much fun they are!
    If you like Arcanum, you love Fallout, that is if you like the post-nuke-war setting.
