First off, hey! I'm new to the forum. 0:) I recently got Arcanum and have been hooked since. LoL. Anyway, here's my question: How do I get in the Gentlemen's club? Being a lady, I find that difficult. I haven't sucessfully pickpocketed the key from him, and when I try to pick the lock he gets really mad. Are those the only two ways to get in? If so, I'll be trying for awhile.

    Hey there!

Welcome to the forum! :) I hope you like it here. I played as a lady off the bat as well.

In order to get into the gentleman's club, you need to go visit the owner of the club, a Mr. Wellington, located on 42 Vermillion Road in Tarant. After speaking to the doorman in the front of the club, he'll tell you to go speak to the owner, so go to his house. There, you have a few options as to how to get the free pass into the club. You can have sex with him (I know, I know, but it's one of the only times a female char. can have fun with a MALE of any sort in the game! ...even if he is sorta well...erm...you'll see)

If you'd rather not get your chainmail soiled, you can just steal the free pass off of him or even kill him for it if you so desire.

Once you have the free pass you can just speak to the doorman again and there'll be a dialogue choice that says something like "but I have thiss free pass" ... and you can be let in.

    Hope this helps!

It worked out fine! First I told him that I'd rip his throat out, then reloaded, deciding just to pick pocket the pass (along with some cash). Problem is now...: I don't know how to get to Caladon. I know where its cooridinates are, but I don't know how to get it marked on my map. Ideas?

I just bullied the owner and he gave me the invitation to the club. He's a coward, really.

    Snowmane,

You'll get Caladon to appear on your map when you do the Victor Misk (Horror among the Dark Elves) quest. You'll get there in due time, don't get too impatient. :)

Another way to get Caladon marked on your map is to talk to Mr. Willoughsby and accept his persuasion quest. Mr. Willoughsby will only appear in Tarant after you've been to Quintarra or Roseborough, I think.

Hope this helps. If there are any other ways to get Caladon marked on one's map, everone feel free to enlighten us both!

:minigun: Windmills, unless you know the coordinates for Roseborough from a cheat, it comes after you've been to Caladon.

    (In my experience, that is.)

Ummm, if Caladon is the one in the far bottom left, then you can take Gorgoth Pass, which is on the coordinate sheet.

Pardon my jumping in, but you can not go through Gorgoth Pass.

The only way to "open" Gorgoth Pass is from west to east.
If you try to approach it from the eastern end, it will not let you go in.

She (or he ... whaterver "it" is) just started. Let him/her/it enjoy the game like you did.

    All in due time.

The first time I was able to go to Caladon it was by boat. From there, you can walk up to both Gorgoth Pass and Roseburgh.

If your really paranoid you can use hardins pass to get to the river, go near the coordinates of lethe wyvern sighting and go on the normal map to the bridge.

Now, my newest question: I need some Kathorn (is that it? ... --;) crystal to make the glasses, but I sold all of mine and it's not for sale anymore... anybody know where I can find some? I pretty much cleaned out the mines... I think... urk! lemme check there, but does anyone have any ideas?

Ah!.... the common Kathoryn Crystal dilema.

    You can:

    a) search the forum for the many replies on this topic.

    b) Go pick lock the chests in the first floor of a castle in the kingdom of Cumbria.

    c) Follow the coastline of the eastern-most port in Arcanum until you reach an ancient shipwreck. (I wonder how they know it is ancient?) Wait next to the boat until midnight.

    d) General Stores carry some varied items. IF (notice the caps) you are lucky, you may find it in a general store somewere along the road.

    My personal choice, (b).

You can also "liberate" the pair of specs that Thorvald Two Stones has.

or you can get throvald to join you and then have him rejoin the wheel clan which gives you a good reputation with the wheel clan. this is my personal favorite as i like to do the 'good' things in the game
