Magic, Combat, and DISINTEGRATE

Hey all,
Anybody here think magic blows? Im level 50 in demo and its hard to kill anything. The only really good attack spells are Disitegrate and FireFlash. But there are downfalls to both. Fireflash has area effect that kills yoru teamates as well as urself, and disintegrate destroys all the items on teh corpse.=(

Combat is 2 fast! If u play RT combat being a magic user is out of the question. And all teh spells cost to mutch to cast. I hope in the real game if u are attacked, it will enter TB when they attack u, not when they are RIGHT NEXT TO U!

Anybody figure out how to MASTER a magic tree? Supposed to half fatigue consumption

Btw, disitegrate is all u need to open doors, chests, windows, and to BLOW STUFF UP!

I dont sugjest using it on chests though, as Vendors will no longer RE-stock, but if u do use it, the items inside will not disitegrate. U can even blow up the Steam train with this spell.

 

Delita, Delita...tsk, tsk, tsk... where did you see Steam train in the demo?

 

I think he means the steam engine.

And Delita when you see an enemy you can hit the shield button on the interface (just to the left of the info. box) or press the "T" (could be "R" it has been awhile) key to start combat. This works in the demo or the final.

Seriously im 50 in demo. Read my first post and it explains.

 

I believe you. In fact I have heard of someone getting to level 50 without using the camera bug.

Did you try my suggestion about entering combat mode? Was that better?

 

er, spend some points in CON and fatigue, and the mage is a killer, oh, add a few points to INT as well.

even the harm spell is pretty good

and the stat raising spells are evil...

 

I think its the R button that starts combat.. use it as soon as u see an enemy.. Or when u stop at the world map. And try lightning bolt, i find it useful

Well my char's con and wp are maxed out, and int is 16, so my stats arent an issue. I traveled past the river and went south, where i fought some TOUGHER monsters. It took 2 lightning bolts to kill them, sometimes even more, and there were 5. Virgil died fast, and left me for the picking. I ran out of fatigue before i could finish the last 2 off =(
TOUGHT STUFF!

 

Gee.. i dont know what to do then..

Try getting Sog in ur party or getting some sommoning spells.

do you have any of the weapons that give you magic power so you don't use up your fatigue right away like the mage's staff? If not I think that Identify girl sometimes has one for sale.

 

hey delita if you have travelled past the river does that mean that you have the full game

 

A simple spell such as harm can do much damage as long as you have a high magickal aptitude.

 

You can use Unlocking Cantrip to open locked or magically held containers.

 

whenever i try to go past the bridge the demo ends

but you can sneek past the script that kills the demo, if you go past the river along the mountain side, be warned though its mostly empty feilds of black squares...

 

well i knew that and he/she said that he/she met some bigger monsters and then i started to wonder because i have only met wolves and shit like that

 

well most monsters outside the first area of Shrouded Hills are struck out by lack of art in the demo.

the user might have used a warez version as well.

 

well when someone releases a warez version i will definitely download it and when i have the opportunity to buy it i will do so

 

Actually the pirated version has been already release last month (I think) but it would stay best that you wait for the original, only a few days from now (probably 12 or 11).

 

what fool he is mage is best off in real time cause u can cast those suckas as fast as ur finger can press a mouse button
