Turned based, I didn't really like the fast turned based stuff snuck up on you to easily. But I was a thief and not the best fighter in the game so I didn't even try real time till much later in the game.

I had Myself, Vigil, Janya, at level 50, and Chukka and dog around level 35. I was a master and melee and dodge, though I only used daggers. At that point turn based was a waste of time for most things. Chukka and dog would hit something twice and it was dead.

I use turn-based combat, except in multiplayer where all you can use is real-time. Boy did I suck the first time I played multiplayer - really not used to real-time after all that T-B experience!

i use turn based when i want to do something time-taking, like make an elephant gun in the middle of a battle or for something challenging, like Pollocks whole gang.

ill use, real time more, for easy enemies, but if its a really hard enemy, like stringy pete, ill go for turn based. ive never tried fast turn based though

I normally have it set to turn-based - just easier for me. But for some weird reason, my character will "freeze" in a battle with green lights just waving away, I found if I switch to real time, it moves along & I can clear the area. Strange!

turn based all the way, i just love being able to whack dudes from a distance with my boomerang, which will soon be upgraded because im playing a thief and just arrived in tarant.

out of curiousity and off topic, i went to black root, dernholm, and arbalahs house before setting off for tarant, what do people think about this?

I usually prefer Turn Based, but when its something really easy, I'll do real-time just to get it done with quicker. And as to that off-topic comment, it's not that odd to go to Dernholm and Blackroot before Tarant. You just have to do the alchemist's quest from shrouded hills, and Praetors quest from dernholm.

i use turn based mostly because i ignored melee and went straight for throwing. i do fine with turn based because i get 5 or 6 hits with my chakram before they get in close. this doesnt work if i play real time tho...
