How does an armour that covers just your arm give you 16(+36) AC? Anyway, is it better to wear plate mail, where the AC isn't so high but the damage resistance is very good or the dream armour, where basically the opposite is true. The dread armour has actually been working really already, but i switch to a dress when I am in towns so I get better prices and reactions.

The armour is magical so it makes forcefields and stuff. Dread armour rocks, its reasonably light compared to plate mail and has more hps so it's probably better.

The thing about Dread Armor, is that they have High AC, but low Damage Resist. AC affects how often they miss, not how much protection you have. So because Dread armor is mostly not there, it lets you move much more freely, and get away easier. But, if they DO hit you, that lack of protection's gonna hurt.

Well, my character actually has an AC of 100 right now or something like that. I'm not bragging or anything because I'm sure it can get a lot higher, but the dread armor seems to be working real well. I gave the bronze plate to virgil. He seems to like that =) Those armours are fairly heavy though. My character is a magic user, so no sense using a heavy, tech armour anyway. After seeing a lot of the tech items though, I really can't wait to play a technology character with a bit of thieving skills. It seems like it would be a completely different experience.

Yeah - the Dread armor gets a really bad reaction - you'll do better unclothed when bartering than in Dread armor!

If you weren't wearing anything you'd be even more unlikely to be hit, but don't get an ac bonus for no armour.
